Heswall based , Linghams Booksellers , have held a number of successful events during September .
Speaking about the events , Sue Porter , owner at Linghams said : " Lucy Worsley , author and television presenter visited us in conjunction with Birkenhead School . Not only were we in the presence of a Royal Historian , who was talking about the Queen of Crime , Agatha Christie but somebody who curates the Royal Palaces and has close links to the Royal family . It was a memorable evening on so many levels full of laughter and tears .
" We also had Peter James , a UK No . 1 bestselling author , best known for writing crime and thriller novels , and the creator of the much-loved Detective Superintendent Roy Grace . Peter had the audience in the palm of his hand as he regaled stories of research in coffins , collecting Police cars and working on films with Richard Burton ! Don ’ t mention ghosts to him as he has a host of stories to tell .
