SUMMER POPS
Pez Tellett made a triumphant return with his Summer Pops Event at The Neston Club in Wirral ’ s beautiful Parkgate . It takes a brave person to put any event together in what are unusual and challenging times particularly in the Hospitality sector but that didn ’ t deter Pez and he pulled of a truly spectacular night with a stellar line up of performers enchanting a large crowd inside a first class marquee with wonderful facilities more akin to a 5 star Hotel . Wirral Life was delighted to be there to witness proceedings and our photographer Arthur missed none of the action .
The show started with The Lights setting a beautiful tone to the start of the night with their enchanting acoustic set .
The Tea Street Band are making a name for themselves all across the land and it was obvious they are destined for great things still to come from this performance . They describe their music as Balearic disco inspired by the music of the nineties from bands such as Inspiral Carpets and 808 State and their single Disco Lights encapsulates what they are all about perfectly .
The Headline act were internationally recognised 90 ’ s superstars The Christians who mixed together all their hits such as Ideal World , Forgotten Town and Harvest for the World with classic tracks that included Gill Scott Heron ’ s The Bottle and even did an impromptu version of The Scaffolds Thank you very much , dedicated to Mike McCartney who was in the audience as well as singing Happy Birthday to Jacqui Tellett who was celebrating her birthday on the night .
Pez Tellett must be applauded for delivering a truly unforgettable night , well done Pez and Summer Pops we cannot wait to attend the next one , PLEASE say it won ’ t be too long away .
