JOHN JENKINS
Amidst the tumultuous state of the world , creatives are vying for room to express themselves across the digital space ; from virtual co-writes to the challenges of inperson recording and socially distanced studios . But above all this stands the music , and the creative river remains in a constant and necessary state of ebb and flow .
Liverpudlian singer-songwriter John Jenkins is one such artist . His new album ‘ If You Can ’ t Forgive You Cant Love ’ is his first since signing to indie label Fretsore Records .
Sonically the album fuses transatlantic influences , elevated by some of the finest session musicians in the Liverpool creative space . Crossing soundscapes in tempo and style , with harmonica , violin and drums collectively and singularly contrasting their own shades of light and dark .
Award-winning artist Rob Vincent lends his skills on BGVs and harmonica , while coproducer Jon Lawton adds a feat of multiinstrumentalism . Amy Chalmers strings are a centre piece of the album and key to its emotional experience as a listener .

HELEN MAW
Helen Maw is singer / songwriter and musician from Liverpool . She began writing her own music in her teens and has performed her songs in venues across Liverpool and even as far as Madrid . She writes a mixture of soulful and classically inspired pop and loves to perform and write as much as she can .
Her main musical influences include artists such as Amy Macdonald , Carole King and Joan Armatrading . Like the artists that she admires , Helen aims to write songs that tell stories of life and connect with her listeners . Combining heartfelt lyrics with catchy melodies , Helen writes about the world around her and everyday life .
A multi-instrumentalist , Helen has been independently releasing her own music since 2019 . Her most recent single ‘ Playing with Fire ’ has received radio play across the UK ,
CAL RUDDY
Elliston Place is the debut album from Wirral based Singer / Songwriter Cal Ruddy . Written in Nashville , TN , USA and recorded in Liverpool the album is an exciting mix of Americana , Rockabilly and Country songs blended together in Ruddy ' s unique style .
During his time in Nashville , Cal worked alongside top songwriters and producers , including Blue Miller ( producer to Bob Seger ), India Arie , and Allen Palmer ( CEO of Palmer Global Ink ). The songs were recorded back home in Liverpool with Steve Powell producer to Mick Head , Edgar Jones & The
Europe and even America . She was named ‘ Artist of the Week ’ on Mersey Radio in May 2020 after releasing her debut EP ‘ Everything in Between .’
In 2020 , she co-founded Satellite Music and Events , a female led organisation which aims to support emerging artists and provide them with coverage and opportunities they may not be able to usually have access to .
April 2021 , Helen released her third single ' Wait '. The song has been her most successful single to date and has been played on radio stations across the world , including multiple plays on BBC Introducing Merseyside and Amazing Radio . The track is still currently receiving daily radio play across the UK . ' Wait ' was accompanied by a lyric video which featured various shots of the city of Liverpool , shot by Helen herself .
' Wait ' has been described by Helen Maw as " one of those songs that can be applied to a number of relationships . I didn ' t really have a specific one in mind but it is about when someone you love is going through a bad time and they can ' t seem to see a way out . It is from the perspective of trying to rationalise with them and say that they ' ll wait for them "
September saw the release of Helen ’ s fifth single ' How I Feel ' which has been played globally and she is currently working on a music video which she is hoping to release in October / November .

Stairs . As a result of his dedication to live performances on Merseyside and beyond , Cal won the award for Best Live Entertainer recognising his dynamic and energetic live show and stage presence at The 2019 Liverpool Lifestyle Awards and was a finalist for best social media personality at the 2020 Liverpool Lifestyle Awards .
Cal has had airplay on BBC Introducing Merseyside , Radio City , and features on ITV ’ s Granada Reports and Channel 5 . Having also worked with Romanian airline , Blue Air in the Italian cities of Milan and Bergamo in 2017 and performed an acoustic set at 38,000ft onboard a plane , the sky is definitely not the limit for Cal .
