ANIMAL MAGIC AT LEAR HOUSE
Residents at Lear House have met lots of new animal friends over the past month . Wirral Life caught up with Aisla Wright , Manager at Abbeyfield to find out more .
Aisla said : " Our new Pets as Therapy dog , Lua proved very popular with everyone . She loves lots of attention and is very gentle and calm . Happy to be stroked and made a fuss of , she brought back lots of memories for the residents of pets they have owned .
" We also enjoyed a visit from Home Safari Animal Assisted Therapy . We met a guinea pig , a rabbit , a tortoise , a skinny pig , a skunk , a skink , a bearded dragon and a cockatiel . Lots of questions were asked about the animals and the residents had the opportunity to see them up close and hold them too !
" It ’ s wonderful to be able to bring the outside world into our home and give everyone the opportunity for new experiences ."
