Tell us about Oliver Green Kitchens ? Oliver Green Kitchens is a small independent design led kitchen retailer delivering bespoke luxury kitchens . We have recently invested in a newly transformed showroom in Hamilton Square where our customers can come and sample the quality of the types of kitchen we provide .
What ’ s Oliver Green Kitchens striving to achieve ? My vision for Oliver Green is for it to be THE kitchen company to engage for great looking luxury kitchens that also happen to be better for the planet and make a tangible difference to improving the indoor air quality of homes .
Why is this important ? Oliver Green Kitchens understands that investing in a kitchen is not a trivial thing , because how we use our kitchens is changing . Once a place of practicality , we no longer just prepare food in our kitchens , rather , they have become the beating heart of our homes .
With change comes choice and when it comes to kitchens there is a plethora of options presently out there . Oliver Green Kitchens is here to help inform , clarify and educate the decisions customers make to ensure their kitchens take advantage of the latest , cleaner , healthier , less environmentally impactful ranges of products that exist today .
How are you doing so far ? We ’ ve made huge strides forward in the last 18 months , despite the pandemic . We ’ ve expanded what we offer so we can cover every aspect of a room remodel . But importantly the new products we offer have all been selected because they are responsible options from an environmental perspective .
What elements of a kitchen can customers get from Oliver Green ? First and foremost , I believe it ’ s important that customers get a complete design . It ’ s why our designers have interior design qualifications . This ensures a comprehensive set of requirements are gathered before design starts . The designs we produce include as much as the customer wants .
We find that most customers do want to engage with a company that can deliver on everything . In this respect we will supply and install every aspect of a kitchen design if that ’ s what a customer wants . This extends to flooring , lighting and general decoration .
What style of kitchen can a customer get from Oliver Green ? The short answer is almost any . Over the last 12 months we ’ ve completed projects from the very traditional farmhouse inframe style to the ultra-modern true handleless . Oliver Green is not selling off the shelf kitchens . It ’ s starting point is producing a design that engages the customer . The design determines what ’ s then supplied and installed . This can often mean innovative solutions to customer requirements .
Who are some of your supply partners ? We have worked hard over the years to loyally build and maintain strong working relationships with our UK and European supply partners to ensure that we have access to the highest quality of products and materials .
Oliver Green has accounts with well respected appliance brands that include AEG , NEFF , Bora , Rangemaster , Liebherr and Bertazzoni to name but a few .
In 2016 we became one of only 2 UK agents for a kitchen range that is made in Finland by Puustelli , a long-established Scandinavian furniture manufacturer . The kitchen range is called Miinus and in Finnish it means less . It is a kitchen range that embodies the three Rs of Reduce , Recycle , Re-use .
Explain how the Puustelli Miinus kitchen range is eco-friendly . For a start it uses 50 % fewer materials than other kitchens . Importantly this reduction relates to sustainable materials , so it not only uses less it also eases the demand on the sustainable materials it uses . The patented frame system contains no formaldehyde and emits zero volatile organic compounds ( VOC ). For most people this detail won ’ t register any response but for anyone with allergies or conditions like asthma these factors are relevant . Every part of a Miinus kitchen can be recycled or re-used . It genuinely has no equal when it comes to eco-friendliness .
You have mentioned bespoke , and this is a term used by many kitchen companies . How is Oliver Green bespoke ? To be bespoke you really do need to be prepared to supply or do something customers can ’ t get from another company . A recent example of how bespoke we can get is a granite topped table that slides out from a kitchen island and effectively floats . If we believe it can be done and the cost is not prohibitive to the customer , then we will take up the challenge .
What can a customer expect to get from Oliver Green ? A customer can expect to be pleasantly surprised . Using our experienced , professional and detailed approach , we will take the client on a journey to their new kitchen in the most attentive , innovative manner possible by firstly listening to every requirement , wish and desire the client has at the outset and ending up with the best possible solution .
