SPICE UP YOUR LIFE...
Autumn is my favourite season it is when nature in my opinion is at
her very best. Look outside the window dear reader and just bask in
the abundant and rich colour that is all around you.

Hues of Pumpkin, Witches tar and Hawthorne green, both inspiring
and comforting. Evoking spiced lattes and snuggles by the fire.
Colour plays a vital role in our work at Kingston Shaw, as interior
designers we use colour to weave the intricacies of telling the story of
a space, set a tone and create atmosphere, sometimes using paint but
often through accents or accessories.
The renaissance of paint happened tens of thousands of years ago,
when humans discovered that combining coloured earth with a sticky
liquid resulted in something with creative potential.

Coloured rocks, earth and minerals could be ground into powders and
mixed with a binding medium such as egg or animal fat to make paint.
By using paints coloured with yellow, red and black earths or clays,
patterns and stories could be created on rocks and inside caves. Now
it’s time to create your own autumnal story with some of our favourite
paints, and accessories of the season.
