THE RED FOX BEER FESTIVAL The Red Fox held their second beer festival of the year. With over 40 beers on handpull, plus a gin and prosecco bar; there was a great selection of beers on offer, ranging in strength and style - from easy drinking blonde ales to a “Rice Pudding” style beer with nutmeg, rice and blackberries in the brewing process. Peerless and Deva Craft breweries spoke to customers and showcased a few of their beers. For the 3rd festival running, “Odin” by Brightside brewery in Manchester was the champion beer of the festival, with Rosie’s “Black Bart” winning the award for best cider. The Red Fox also teamed up with Big Hand Brewery in Wrexham to brew a collaboration beer. It was aptly called “Big Fox” and was runner up to Odin. The Gin bar was headlined by Red Fox’s own Gin, alongside Wirral Gin, Liverpool Gin and Hunter’s Cheshire Gin. Overall, it was a great family day out with bouncy castle, garden games, face painting and a Chester Zoo talk about their conservation schemes. We’re already looking forward to the next festival in May 2017.
