CHRISTMAS BY CANDLELIGHT

Even after 41 years running Hallmark Jewellers , I still look forward to the Christmas Season . Every year , I love to create that Festive feel when you walk into our store .
This year , our theme is Diamonds by Candlelight which is almost complete after weeks of hard work . The shop is infused with Owen Drew candles , and I would like to take this opportunity to offer my sincere condolences to the family of Drew Cockton , it ’ s co-founder , who sadly passed away suddenly at the age of 36 . The Candlelight theme ( which we had already discussed ), has now become a silent tribute to a beautiful and talented young man .
On a lighter note , I pride myself on ensuring that our stocks cater for every budget and every age , and I love it when a Dad comes in with his child to buy Mum something or a Boyfriend is planning a Yuletide proposal of marriage ; I feel we make it a very special occasion for everyone and nothing gives us greater pleasure than the customer telling us how much they have enjoyed their experience . We shall be serving our mince pies and sherry again this year and hope that you partake . Don ’ t worry ; it is a very small snifter of sherry , so you will be able to drive home !
I am a little sad at this time of year as indeed are so many of our customers who have lost loved ones in the run-up to Christmas . My father passed away last November , but a treasured photograph in the shop reminds me he is still watching over me .
It was a very special moment to win the Businesswoman of the Year in 2019 , and he was so proud of my achievements . I can assure my father and all my customers that I still come to work every day , excited for what the day will bring . A shopping experience at Hallmark is memorable for all the right reasons . There is always a warm welcome , we are well stocked , there is an excellent choice to suit all budgets and everything is beautifully gift-wrapped . This year , we have seen more new customers than ever before , a real positive step towards the future of the high street . Thank you to every one of our customers for your loyalty and support .
