Who is your greatest racing legend ? I have had the honour of racing against the greats - Hailwood , Agostini , Sheene and many more . It has to be Geoff Duke , the Isle of Man TT legend . Geoff was Sports Personality of the Year and was a true gentleman as well as the most talented racing star ever . He is a TT legend .
Tell us where else was your favourite racetrack apart from the TT ? Every year for at least 10 years I took part in the Daytona Race week . It was the craziest week ever and thousands turned up to watch the Daytona 500 . I took all the family to Disney every year and we had a two week USA trip !
How many garages have you had and where ? I bought my first in Westminster Road , Hoole , Chester . My Dad bought me a terraced house and we made it into a garage . In the 80 ' s , I had shops in Rhyl , Liverpool , Bangor , Warrington and owned Two Mills car garage . We eventually merged them all to where we are now on Tarvin Road , Boughton , Chester . My two children , Mark and Karen , run the business and have taken it from strength to strength . Bill Smiths is a multi franchise with Triumph , Yamaha and Suzuki franchises , whilst they own Smiths Honda , a solo Honda dealership .
Why is Bill Smith Motors still around after 60 years of business ? Passion and respect .
