MORE THAN A LOTTERY
Our footballing partner Tranmere Rovers is already preparing for Christmas and is combining its new lottery , MORE THAN A LOTTERY which was launched at the start of the season , with its fundraising efforts for its SUPER WHITE CHRISTMAS appeal .
This will be the 5th year that the Birkenhead-based club will be running its SUPER WHITE CHRISTMAS , and it hopes to reach even more than last year ’ s 400 deserving families in need of support that it and their fans helped .
“ The contributions to our MORE THAN A LOTTERY really help with these initiatives , and enable us to help more local people , more young people , and more disadvantaged people . “ So , on behalf of the club , I thank everyone who has bought a ticket , and if you are able to join in , you will know that you are helping many local people , and many who like you are great Tranmere fans .
This wonderful initiative provided much needed food parcels , presents for young children , Christmas dinners for many homeless local people , and backing and support for many young people in the care system .
Tranmere Chairman , Mark Palios has been full of praise for the numerous kind donors and volunteers who have helped bring some joy at Christmas to many families and people in need . “ This year we wanted to help even more , and with our new MORE THAN A LOTTERY having been launched a few months ago it seemed a great idea to bring these two initiatives together .
“ We are planning for some special additional lottery prizes over the Christmas period as part of our traditional Super White Christmas , and on the serious side of our Super White Christmas , we will be hosting a number of events around the Christmas period to help many homeless people have some Christmas cheer , with lunches on Christmas Day and Boxing Day for them , and also for many young people who don ’ t have the family support that most of us are fortunate to have .
The new MORE THAN A LOTTERY has proved very popular with more than just the local Tranmere fans .
Many readers will have been following news of the exciting new Fan Park and we hope that you will have enjoyed seeing William Franklin of German Kraft Beer , the partners in this Fan Park venture , choose the lottery numbers at the recent Friday night game against Colchester .
Martyn Best , the Tranmere Rovers ’ Associate Director involved in helping drive both the Fan Park and the Lottery noted , " German Kraft are our key partner in the new Fan Park , and many of you will have met William over the past few months as he and his colleagues have been helping us and introducing us to the great flavour of German Kraft ."
