RUSSEL WATSON & ALED JONES AT TWEEDMILL
Hundreds of shoppers and fans waited to
see Aled Jones & Russell Watson perform to
celebrate Tweedmill Shopping Outlet's 25th
Anniversary.
The duo were a little delayed as Russell was stuck
in traffic. Despite this, fans eagerly awaited and
were delighted when they arrived. The two
giants of the classical world did not disappoint.
Performing two 20 minute slots, meeting and
greeting customers with some managing to get
a selfie.
Aled Jones and Russell Watson have both
received countless prestigious awards, record-
breaking sales and chart-topping success. The
two singers became firm friends more than 20
years ago, whilst moving in the same musical
circles and you could see this from their on-
stage presence laughing and joking with each
other and engaging the crowds. Aled Jones
spoke Welsh to the audience and this went
down extremely well.
Shoppers were treated to an extra 20% off full
price stock on Saturday & Sunday.
Tweedmill ran a competition where the winners
met with Aled & Russell and enjoyed a private
Afternoon Tea in Tweedmill’s New Tearoom,
Booth’s.
Tweedmill were quick to post the following on
their social media. “Thank you to everyone for
your patience and support today we apologise
in advance to anyone that made the effort to
attend our event but we’re unable to get in due
to the high volume of visitors. As with any free
event you just never know how many people
will turn up, we are well aware that some people
went away disappointed. We would like to
thank everyone for their loyalty and support
over the last 25 years.”
