LINGHAMS BOOK SIGNINGS
Linghams Booksellers in Heswall hosted a
number of book signings this month. Authors
included Milly Johnson, Helen Cullen, Christy
Leftari and Colin Butcher.
Sue at Linghams said: "We were delighted to host
the book signings. Helen Cullen, debut Irish
author of the Lost Letters of William Wolf came
along to talk about love, relationships and letter
detectives! She talked about where her love of
words came from and how the book has been
optioned for a TV Series.
"Christy Leftari, who is the daughter of Cypriot
refugees, spoke about her real life experiences and
characters she met whilst working as a volunteer in
Athens, which her book The Beekeeper of Aleppo
is based on. She chatted about Syria, refugees and
how when two people are lost sometimes they can
find each other again.
"Colin Butcher, author of Molly and Me, came to
Heswall with adorable Molly ace cat finder! Colin
is an ex detective inspector who now owns a pet
detective agency. We had a fun evening with Molly
reminding us she was there for the book talk too.
"And Milly Johnson, author of The Magnificent
Mrs Mayhew, came along to read from her
fun, lighthearted book. Prosecco and nibbles
accompanied the evening ."
If you missed any of the events, signed copies are
available at Linghams.
