JUNIOR SCHOOL SMASHES FUNDRAISING TARGET FOR LOCAL CHARITY
From the 29th May until the 1st of June , McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Cheshire Oaks will host a Superhero themed event that will see an onsite illustrator transform children into one of their favourite Superhero characters .
To keep children entertained whilst their personalised illustration is created ; budding Superheroes can test their powers by creating their very own cape and trying it on with a selection of dress up items . Families can make it a day to remember by heading to the Superhero selfie spot located opposite Rituals to capture a keepsake . Superhero powers sorted , parents can also ensure their children ’ s summer wardrobe is set with promotions across some of the centres best loved family brands such as Clarks , Gap and Joules .
This half term there are more reasons than ever to head to Cheshire Oaks where you can discover the centres latest addition ; iconic American footwear company Converse , and check out the new look stores that have just seen makeovers in the centre ; including Gant and The North Face .
Whilst visiting Cheshire Oaks shoppers will also be able to make the most of the wide range of promotions available across the centre , which is home to over 145 high street , premium and designer brands .
Throughout the half term , the centre will be open from 9am-8pm Monday to Friday .

GORDALE WINS COVETED INDUSTRY AWARD
It has been announced that Gordale Garden and Home Centre in Burton , South Wirral , has won the ‘ UK ’ s Best Outdoor Living Retailer ’ in the Destination Garden Centre category , by the Garden Centre Association .
The award is extremely coveted and valued in the garden retail sector , as members must undergo a rigorous annual inspection to ensure they exceed required standards set by the GCA . Gordale has been highly commended for the past eleven years in succession . The award was sponsored by Weber-Stephen Products , the long-established BBQ manufacturer , and inventors of the original kettle BBQ .

Greasby Junior School in the Wirral has been busy raising money through its annual Charity Week filled with activities and a sponsored run for Ronald McDonald House Charities , the free ‘ home away from home ’ accommodation for families with children in hospital .
Earlier on this year , the school had planned a week of fundraising that had Year 6 organising lots of activities for the rest of the school to take part in . They also organised their first sponsored run which was a huge success !
Their fantastic total came to an outstanding £ 4,016.21 , the most they have ever raised . On 28 March , the school ’ s Student Voice came to visit the Ronald McDonald House in Arrowe Park Hospital to place their plaque on the charity ’ s giving tree .
Ronald McDonald House Arrowe Park is one of 14 Houses across the UK situated in or near hospital grounds to enable seriously ill children to have their families close by when they are undergoing treatment and to maintain a degree of normal family life .
Speaking of his support for Ronald McDonald House Charities , Head Teacher , Mr Martin said : “ The charity provides essential support for families at a time when they most need it . A number of Greasby Junior School families have stayed in the ‘ House ’ and are extremely grateful for the help they received . When the children learned about the work the charity does , they were determined to make as much money as possible , but we were absolutely thrilled to raise our highest total so far .”
Megan Owen , Community Fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities , said : “ It has been wonderful to see so many young people working together to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities , especially as we ’ ve been able to help many of their peers . We could not have asked for a more enthusiastic group of supporters and I hope that they continue to use their passion for causes that they believe in .”
