Closer...
Don’t tell anyone but I hate florals, I really do, they have no
place in the home, they belong in the garden, in the park,
anywhere outside but not in the house! There I have said it, I

that our clients have the right to love and choose florals for their
houses, but you would never find wisteria clinging to any of my
upholstery. Well that was until this year!
Something has happened, perhaps it’s my age, the weather or
the profusion of colour everywhere but I suspect it is something
more profound. Something has shifted in the tectonic plates
of design, scale has been embraced which, in turn has allowed

before you know it, you could end up looking look like you live
in the historical wing of Ness Gardens!
So here are a few tips for making this fabulous trend work in
your home!
1. TRY BEFORE YOU BUY
Before making a large investment in wallpaper or fabric,
purchase a few cushions and live with the trend before
committing. I love these cushions from clarissahulse.com - the
‘Fern Ombre Silk cushion’ priced at £69.00 each.
