W BEAUTY L WHAT’S IN YOUR BATHROOM CABINET? Wirral Life take a peek inside the bathroom cabinets of SDS staff to see if they practice what they preach and learn what their favourite products are. “I have 3 superhero skin products (plus one other!!). When it comes to looking after my skin, my first must have is SDS Rejuvenate Hydrate. This is rich in ‘HA’, helping to smooth away the lines and wrinkles and hydrate. My second is SDS Protect 20 moisturiser. This not only moisturises the skin making it feel smooth, but is a great base for makeup Dr Sally-Ann and gives me my SPF 20! My third is the SDS Rejuvenate’s own R+ - a 1% Retinol which exfoliates, stimulates to condition and polishes skin to perfection! These 3 products give me the essentials to good skin and a very simple and easy skin care regime which fits in with my hectic lifestyle! My “one other” extra boost is ZENii supplement for skin health and rebalance.” “Suffering with dry, sensitive patchy skin, I’ve always struggled to find the perfect balance. After years of trying to find it, I’ve now 3 products I could not live without. My first product has to be DermaQuest Universal Cleansing Oil. This cleanses away all traces of makeup whilst not being too harsh, something my skin cannot afford to be put through as I Marie suffer with redness when a heavy cleanser or mixture of cleansers are used daily. I’m left with silky, clean soft skin and no dryness or redness. Second on my list is SDS Rejuvenate Protect 20. I find it hard moisturising my skin and applying SPF straight after. I cannot apply too many products due to my skin reacting easily. Using this light, silky and non heavy product makes my skin happy… it is very hard to please. Third must have for me is SDS Rejuvenate Recover, a healing active night cream containing 0.5% Retinol. Something I would never have used in the past as I was scared of how my skin would react. I can now use this three or four times a week at night. I like this during the winter when my skin is at its driest as it helps with exfoliation too! My skin changes with each season, which leads me to my ‘secret weapon’... resurfacers. I need to exfoliate and shed the layers of dead skin without harsh abrasive cleansers. Resurfacing treatments do just this, by keeping my skin healthy, glowing and stable throughout the seasons.” “SDS Reveal Glyco wash - This is great as it helps with open pores and black heads as it contains AHAS, glycolic and citric acid. It slogs all the dead skin cells off and makes my skin feel really smooth and a lot brighter. DermaQuest Eyebrite - I love this product as I suffer quite bad with puffiness under the eye area and dark circles. It contains plant stem cells and Trina anti- oxidants to lift dark circles and the peptides help to calm puffy, tired eyes. DermQuest C Infusion Serum - Being in my 30’s, I need to protect my skin and prevent fine lines and wrinkles which is exactly what this does, the orange stem cells in this product are known to tone and tighten the skin which is exactly what I need. The C infusions energise skin and help with discolouration and future signs of ageing as I do tend to suffer from slight pigmentation from being in the sun. So I find this a good all rounder!” “SDS Rejuvenate Prepare – it takes all makeup off quickly and softly even heavy eye makeup, quick and easy at the end of the day for a pre cleanse and calming and soothing on the skin. DermaQuest DermaClear BHA cleanser – I use it every other night for deep exfoliation. It helps to reduce inflammation, calms and banishes breakouts and blackheads. It is a deep clean for when my skin is at its worst. Salicylic acid in the cleanser has a whirlwind effect in the follicle Shelby to help remove any debris build up and soothes the sebaceous glands. And I wouldn’t be without my Youngblood Primer - after using my daily skincare it’s important to continue to look after your skin when applying makeup. Having a barrier in between heavy makeup and your skin, helps to protect it from pores clogging and irritation happening on the skin. Youngblood primer is silky soft and sits perfectly as a base for any type of foundation. It’s all natural product stops it from any chemicals and parabens irritating the skin and causing more breakouts. It’s key in my makeup bag!” “DermaQuest Glycolic Cleanser – This is my must have power product! It’s especially great for anyone over the age of 20, as our natural production of collagen reduces by 1% each year. Glycolic Acid stimulates the collagen production and improves skin elasticity overtime. I also have SDS Rejuvenate Hydrate – this lightweight hydrating serum acts like a glass of water for your skin. Essential for all skin types and all ages! Another must is Youngblood Mineral Makeup – Over the years I have Harriet suffered with acne and I found that alongside a good skincare routine, one of the things that really helped was changing my makeup to 100% Mineral. They contain no parabens, talc or zinc oxide which allows my skin to breathe and help stop any future breakouts. Youngblood’s wide range of makeup makes it easy to cover up blemishes and gives you the perfect coverage for day or night time make up.” Lucy “Dermaquest Essential Daily Cleanser- I love this product, it is great for removing my make-up but is also great for removing any other impurities from my skin whilst still leaving my skin nourished and hydrated. SDS Glow Cleanser - this product is a must have for me as I am prone to break outs, using this twice per week the glycolic acid helps to remove the build up of dead skin cells that can cause these breakouts and leaves my skin feeling very refreshed. Body Refining Gel – having spray tans throughout the winter months can sometimes leave my skin feeling quite dry and dehydrated, this gel helps to restore the moisture but also prolongs my tan!” WIN AN SDS SKINCARE PACKAGE SDS Rejuvenation are giving Wirral Life readers the chance to win an SDS Ski n Care Package consisting of Skin Consultation, Skin Analysis and a bespoke facial using SDS Skin Care Range.
