NEO COMMUNITY GAINS CHARITY STATUS
The 23rd of May saw the long awaited celebration
of Neo Community celebrating gaining Charity
status earlier this year. They were joined by lots
of local businesses, community groups and
individuals who came together at The Little Fox,
Thornton Hough.
At the event, Paula Basnett, CEO of Wirral Chamber
explained why they were so proud to work with
Neo Community and shared her vision of how
charities and other sectors can work together more.
Guests also heard from Neo Community volunteers
and service users who shared their inspirational
stories and how much difference the charity made
to them.
Ema Wilkes, Chief Executive and Founder of
Neo Community said: "We were delighted to gain
charity status and launch Neo 50 which is a simple
concept asking individuals and businesses to raise
£100 a month to help invest into to a pot of funding
which can help positive change across Wirral.
"The night was everything we had hoped it would
be. So many people have helped us along the way
and our funders such as Steve Morgan have given
us so much support over the last six and a half years
enabling us to help more people across the Wirral.
"I would like to thank David Green and his team at
The Little Fox and everyone who attended. I'd also
like to remind everyone that the kettle is always on
at Neo, please feel free to pop in any time to have a
look and find out more."
