EVERYMAN CINEMA COMING
TO THE METQUARTER
Boutique cinema operator, Everyman Cinemas, is set to
be the first completion since asset manager Queensberry
took over Liverpool’s premium retail and leisure
destination, Metquarter. The new signing forms a central
part of the multi-million pound redevelopment strategy
the centre is currently undergoing.
The vision involves bringing a cluster of high quality leisure
and restaurant brands to the Victoria Street end of the
centre. When coupled with a newly defined retail offer, it
will create a dynamic and exciting offer during the day and
into the evening. The boutique cinema will feature four
screens and is scheduled to open in autumn 2018.
Everyman Cinemas are well-known for their portfolio of
high calibre cinema with a programme that focuses on
quality, whether from the latest big releases, independent
cinema, or live broadcast arts events such as the National
Theatre and Met Opera productions. Unlike conventional
multiplexes, it will feature indulgent sofa seating, at-seat
food and drink, a stylish bar and a private screening lounge
which will be available for private hire and corporate
events.
Stuart Harris, Commercial Director and Co-founder of
Queensberry said: “Everyman Cinemas are exactly the
kind of quality operator we want for the Metquarter. It
will provide an additional customer draw to the centre

step in moving towards our vision of revitalising and
repositioning Metquarter as the premium leisure,
restaurant and shopping offer in Liverpool city centre. We
also have ongoing negotiations with other exciting retail
and restaurant brands which we hope to announce over the
next few months.”
Crispin Lilly CEO of Everyman Cinemas said: “We’re
extremely excited to be launching in Liverpool. It’s such
a vibrant city with an incredible cultural legacy, and we’re
proud to become a part of that. The Everyman Cinema
offer is all about delivering a great night out, with a broad
range of quality films and events combined with our
discerning bar and social spaces which will complement
the Metquarter scheme perfectly.”
Jennina O’Neill, Metquarter Centre Manager said: “We’re
delighted to welcome Everyman Cinema to Metquarter.
This is a great product offering with fantastic films, food
and events which I’m sure will make a big impact in the
city.”
Everyman joins a whole host of brands already located at
the premium shopping and dining destination including
MAC, Hugo Boss, Illamasqua, Jo Malone, Kurt Geiger, LK
Bennett, Carluccio’s, Jack Wills and many more.
