LORD ’ S TAVERNERS ASCOT CHARITY LUNCH
Over 150 supporters of the Lord ' s Taverners charity attended an Ascot themed charity lunch on Friday 17th June at Chester Racecourse . The guests enjoyed betting and watching the fabulous day of racing at Ascot via large screens during a 3-course meal . Chester Bet attended for guests to place their winning bets and provided a Tipster on the day .
Over £ 10,000 was raised on the day for the chairty , which exists to positively impact the lives of young people facing the challenges of inequality . They work across the UK and beyond to provide inclusive and impactful cricket programmes , empowering young people with disabilities and from disadvantaged communities to develop the knowledge , skills , capabilities , and confidence required to overcome the challenges of inequality , raise their aspirations and reach their potential .
Karen Metcalf , Chair and Trudy Burrows , Deputy Chair of Cheshire , North Wales and Wirral region , would like to thank everyone for attending and helping raise such a wonderful amount of money along with all the companies that supported the day by donating prizes including Penhaligon ’ s , Owen Drew and Chester Boutique , Chester Racecourse and Bar Lounge .
Grosvenor Insurance Brokers sponsored the best dressed person prize and champagne was presented to Lori Parker who looked stunning by Emma Massey , owner of City Aesthetics Chester .
The next event is an afternoon and evening of Christmas celebrations on 18th November at Chester Racecourse .
