LEAR HOUSE RESIDENTS HAVE FUN
Residents at Lear House have enjoyed a range of activities over the recent months .
Ailsa Wright . Manager at Abbeyfield said : " As part of our Easter celebrations , we made nest cakes from cereal and white chocolate complete with little chicks as well as painting and decorating eggs and making our own cardboard baskets .
" We spent an afternoon potting parsley and basil which is now growing successfully . Hopefully we will soon have home grown herbs to be used in the kitchen in our meals !
" In May , we marked VE Day with an afternoon of music and singing with Sandra Currie . Music plays a big part in our lives and most weeks we enjoy an afternoon with one of the singers who visit us regularly and know the music we enjoy singing and playing along to !
