LADY TAVERNERS
ROYAL ASCOT DAY
The Lady Taverners Ascot Day at Chester
Racecourse was introduced to include
everyone in the fun of Ascot Ladies Day.
People attended the event and dressed in their
race outfits. There were spectacular hats on
display and some men wore morning suits.
The Lady Taverners raised almost 20k and
were delighted with the feedback from the
guests. Many of them had travelled from
London and various other parts of the UK.
Year on year, the event has become more
popular with this year showing a 33% increase
in attendees and money raised.
The event was also supported by John Peers
who rode into the pavilion on his motorbike
having travelled 12,000 miles on behalf of
the charity. In support of John Peers, Blood
Bikers arrived in convoy to escort him to the
pavilion.
Auction prizes were donated with gifts of a
holiday donated by elite concierge of Chester,
Matthew O'Brien £1,000 gift voucher, Ascot
Race Day tickets, tickets for Old Trafford and
a stunning necklace from Lucy Quartermaine
that raised over £1,500.
The event was supported by Chester Bet and
Chester Racecourse.
