Neil Curtis, Managing Director at B&M Waste Services said “The
road to recycling isn't always easy, which is why we're making it
simpler as we invite you to take a tour of our brand new innovation
centre. This hub is geared up to educate not only schools and those
in the education sector, but businesses who want to understand more
about moving up the waste hierarchy, reducing waste output and
recycling more using the very latest techniques and technology to
assist.”
Jayne Kennedy, Marketing Manager at B&M Waste said “We’ve
named the innovation centre – Milner House - after our long-
standing Sales Director Terry Milner. He’s been a considerable
part in the growth of B&M Waste and after 25 years service will
be retiring later this year. He’s a terrific innovator and mentor and
with that in mind we hope that Milner House will be testament to
that, as we invite schools, colleges and businesses to visit and learn
about the very latest recycling innovations. We’ve already had plenty
of enquiries and look forward to ‘talking rubbish’ with even more
people following the launch this week.”
Those interested in taking the free tour should contact marketing@
bagnallandmorris.com who will arrange a suitable date and time.
Since 2004 the group has grown organically by acquiring vacant
sites, including residential properties and former petrol stations, and
developing their own purpose-built settings. The six strategically
located, high quality nurseries all offer in excess of 90 childcare places
at each site, extensive outdoor play areas, and car parking.
The acquisition brings the total to 359 UK nurseries in the Busy Bees
Group, with in excess of 50,000 children across more than 500 sites in
the UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, China, and Australia.
Marg Randles, Chief Academic Officer and Co-Founder of Burntwood-
headquartered Busy Bees, comments, "We are delighted to have the
opportunity to add Daisy & Jake Day Nursery to our growing family.
Our philosophy and passion has always been and always will be to
deliver local provision to local families, and we work hard to ensure each
nursery runs on its own merit with its own specialised and dedicated
staff team in place. Over the past 35 years, we have been dedicated
to providing outstanding opportunities for children to give them the
very best start in life. Our success has been down to the people in our
nurseries and we are very much looking forward to working with Daisy
& Jake and their team of dedicated and passionate staff. We will work
closely with parents and staff at Daisy & Jake to keep everyone up to
date to ensure a seamless transition."
Former part owner of Daisy and Jake Nurseries, Lisa Collins, comments,
“After 14 years building our nursery business, we have decided that
now is the right time to hand over the reins. I am confident that in Busy
Bees we have chosen the ideal partner who will maintain the values and
ethos we have all worked so hard to achieve. I know they will preserve
the things that make Daisy & Jake so special and continue to provide
quality childcare and excellent staff support. The future of Daisy & Jake
is bright, and I will be proud to watch the business continue to go from
strength to strength under its new owners."
