W INTERIORS L SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER BUT IS YOUR HOME READY? The days are longer, t-shirt weather is upon us, holiday packing is underway and the kids are back home to cause chaos. Organise your home to save a little bit of clearing up for the foreseeable future. Here are some helpful summer, home-living tips from Sliderobes to encourage a simple, stress free and fun summer at home. GO OUTDOORS Here in the UK we need to make the most of the good weather. Fairy lights and colourful cushions are simple ways to add something extra to your outdoor space. Planting some flowers (and even veg) may be a fun way to add some colour to your garden and letting the kids give you a hand will keep them entertained for hours; it’s a win-win. With the school year over, a plethora of old school work is bound to have travelled home and is lying on the floor of your child’s bedroom, or stuffed in their wardrobe. Get the recycling bin at the ready for anything you don’t want to keep. Managing it now will make it much easier and save you finding spaces to display those works of art months down the line. Kids are constantly growing and as much as they’ll argue, they do outgrow their toys. Why not take the opportunity to get rid of some of their old things? Donating them to family friends or charities means less mess for you, less clutter, more free space in the house and more storage. 56 wirrallife.com YOUR SPACE TO CHILL We all know that a house with kids is inevitably chaotic no matter how tidy the place is. Why not create a special place in the house that’s just yours to chill out in? An area where you can take a good book and a cup of tea and just have some peace and quiet for a (short) while. BE SUMMER READY Although the UK weather can be unpredictable, we think it’s safe to say that the winter coat can be put to the back of the wardrobe for now. It’s time to pull your shorts and t-shirts out of hiding! Get all the summer gear ready for action; beach towels, sun cream and swimming costumes all raring to go. Day trips are made easy when
