WOODS SQUARED MOVE TO NEW OFFICE IN PRENTON
STEVE ROTHERAM TOURS WIRRAL MET CAMPUS
Accountancy firm Woods Squared have officially moved into their new office in Prenton after spending their first 10 years in Hamilton Square, Birkenhead.
The open plan office was custom fitted by Aztec Interiors Limited and includes a breakout area as well as sit / stand desks. One of the key reasons for the move was to allow for expansion, the office easily accommodates the current team and will allow to more than double the existing team and still keep the open plan feel.
Woods Squared hope that the new premises based on the North Cheshire Trading Estate will provide better facilities to clients and the good motorway links and free parking are an attractive extra too. Director of Woods Squared, Alan Woods adds“ After 10 years on Hamilton Square we are happy to be in our new home in Prenton. We started to look for our new offices around 18 months ago as the layout of Hamilton Square didn’ t fit with our core values as we grew our team. Our new offices are perfect for what we need and the modern open plan feel is exactly what we were looking for. We’ ve only been here for just over a week but the positive impact on the team is already clear to see and the sit / stand desks have made a massive difference too. Looking forward to the next 10 years in our new home.”
The Woods Squared team looks forward to providing a range of business growth accountancy services from their new office to small and medium sized businesses in all sectors across the North West. The firm has won a number of awards including 2011 UK Small Practice of the Year in the Accounting Web Practice Excellence Awards, AVN UK Accounting Firm of the Year 2009 / 10, 2020 Firm of the Year 2015, Small Business of the Year at the 2016 Wirral Business Awards and Highly Commended in 2 categories at the British Accountancy Awards 2016.
Steve Rotheram, Metro Mayor, joins Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure, Ken Skates, on tour of Wirral Met College’ s campuses.
Wirral Met College welcomed Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure Ken Skates to its Wirral Waters and Twelve Quays Campuses. The Metro Mayor joined the Cabinet Secretary on a tour of the award winning Wirral Waters Campus before heading off to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics( STEM) Centre and Logistics and Warehousing Centre at the Twelve Quays Campus. The purpose of the visit was to demonstrate how the Liverpool City Region has invested significantly in skills development to support the regeneration of the local economy. Through collaborative, partnership work between public and private sector organisations, the multi-million pound Wirral Waters Campus, which specialises in providing training and education for the Construction sector, was created – it was the first key landmark on Wirral Waters, one half of the Mersey Waters Enterprise Zone. Enterprise Zones are a key feature of the Government’ s local growth and Northern Powerhouse agenda, offering incentives for businesses to locate and grow at these key locations. Wirral Met’ s STEM and Logistics & Warehousing Centres have been recently developed to meet the increasing demand for people with the skills and qualifications to support these growing industry sectors across the Liverpool City Region. The STEM Centre project received funding from the Liverpool City Region Growth Deal. In March 2014, the Liverpool City Region LEP secured a total of £ 232m of Local Growth Fund from the Growth Plan that was submitted to Government. This plan outlined an ambitious vision of unlocking the region’ s potential with the long term goal of achieving economic growth and job creation. wirrallife. com 69
