before I met Vince , but it wasn ’ t as honed as it has become .
Vince , we know you started out on the guitar , how did moving to synths affect that ?
Vince : The actual song , the melody , the chord structure , that ’ s all from my growing up with playing guitar , I think . A Little Respect feels like the quintessential Erasure song to us and sort of encapsulates everything people love about your music what memories do you have of actually writing it ?
Andy : I can ' t remember writing it at all . Was that written round your house , Vince , in Notting Hill ?
Vince : That was in my house in Queensway .
Andy : We wrote Ship of Fools there on the guitar too . I don ’ t know . I think sometimes , when things just naturally trip off the tongue , it couldn ’ t be written any other way .
Erasure ’ s new album Neon is out now , and tickets are available to see them in Manchester later this year .
