LIVERPOOL LADIES NETWORK CHRISTMAS LUNCH The Liverpool Ladies Network (LLN) Christmas lunch took place on Thursday 12th December at The Venue at the Royal Liver Building. The event raised £5000 for The Hive in Birkenhead, a purpose-built Youth Zone which provides a safe, enjoyable environment for young people to spend time and support to help raise aspirations and confidence developing a healthier and happier generation of young people in one of the UK's most deprived areas. The LLN Christmas Lunch was attended by 160 professional women from the Liverpool City Region. The guest speaker Baroness Helen Newlove who came to prominence in 2007 when her husband Garry Newlove was brutally attacked by three youths outside their home in Warrington and subsequently died two days later. Since then, Helen has been a tireless campaigner against antisocial behaviour, recognising the vital importance of organisations like The Hive in providing a safe space and positive environment for young people. LLN is a not-for-profit organisation which is run by Lindsey Moore (Agnes Marketing), Jayne Croft (Brabners) and Natalie Dye (Bathgate Business Finance). The purpose of LLN events is to provide a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment where even the most reluctant networker can feel comfortable, extend their professional network with like-minded women and ultimately support our city region by developing and retaining more business and opportunities.
