course fees alone is enough to put people off trying and I think that is a real shame. I feel concern for the future of the industry as not everyone is being given a fair chance to achieve their dreams, and with 96% of actors out of work at any given time, it is only going to get harder. What has been you biggest accomplishment so far? Of course, my son, Sonny. He is such an amazing boy and has dreams of his own to one day become a professional footballer, ideally scoring the winning goal against Everton in the FA cup– he was even scouted by Liverpool football academy at age 6. In my professional work, it was being able to play the role of John Lennon. Given the size of the role and being able to play such an incredible musical icon was an honour and one I will never forget. Who is your biggest inspiration? My Mum, Dad, and Grandad. Their incredible work ethic has always inspired me to keep going and focus on my goals. What do you like to do when you’re not working? As I’m away most of the year on tour my priority is spending time with Sonny and my better half Sharon. Otherwise I’m writing music and thinking of new projects! We understand that on that tragic day at Hillsborough, you were there, and we cannot begin to imagine how this impacted your life. It is heart-breaking for us to hear that you experienced this at such a young age. As a Hillsborough survivor, what are your feelings towards this now? The events that occurred that day are something that will stay with me for the rest of my life, along with each person that tragically lost their lives who will always have a place in my heart. I can honestly say it was one of, if not the biggest life shaping event for me and something that used to repeatedly get me down. I am not sure what I can say due to ongoing court proceedings, but when us as the victims finally found justice, it was like the world had been lifted off my shoulders and I was able to begin the process to move on as the guilt had been removed. It was a difficult journey but one I feel I have finally been able to overcome. What are your future plans? I’ll be back on tour with Blood Brothers early this year. Regarding the rep company which will be our focus, we have something exciting planned, but we can’t reveal what just yet! More exciting is that I am releasing an EP, which I can’t wait to get out for you all to hear, I have been working extremely hard on it and I hope everyone loves it as much as I do. Of course, making many more amazing memories with my Sonny and family. For more information, follow Daniel on Twitter @danieltayloresq
