LIFE AT LEAR HOUSE
Residents at Lear House have enjoyed a lively few months, with a varied programme of activities designed to bring people together and make every day enjoyable.
One particularly special occasion was Joan’ s 104th birthday, celebrated with a fish and chip lunch for residents and, of course, a gin and tonic for the birthday girl.
Creativity has also been on the agenda, with residents taking part in a silk flower workshop and producing a beautiful selection of spring-themed arrangements. The session proved a real hit, with plenty of concentration, conversation and impressive results.
Music remains an important part of life at Lear House too. Residents regularly enjoy live performances, singalongs and dancing, with visiting singers tailoring their sets to include much-loved favourites.
Aisle Wright, Manager at Abbeyfield, said:“ Getting to know our residents and understanding what they enjoy is at the heart of everything we do. We want our activity programme to feel personal, engaging and enjoyable, so residents can continue to take part in the things that bring them happiness.”
