Ellie is a mum to a young daughter and the face behind a thriving independent travel business: Fly With Ellie At LV Prestige Travel. With a lifelong passion for travel, she has always been driven by a desire to explore new destinations, experience different cultures, and learn about the history behind them. Although she once dreamed of becoming an air hostess, she chose a different path and now runs a flexible, home-based travel business that allows her to balance family life while delivering a highly personalised service to her clients.
Tell us about your travel business- what do you offer? I run a personalised travel business where I take care of every aspect of a client’ s journey. From flights, holidays, and cruises to airport parking, lounges, fast-track security, excursions, and even more, I manage it all. My aim is to remove the stress from travel planning and create a seamless, enjoyable experience from the very first enquiry through to returning home.
What inspired you to start your travel business? Travel has always been something I’ ve been passionate about, and I wanted to turn that into something meaningful. I saw a gap where people were overwhelmed with online options but still wanted reassurance, guidance, and a personal touch. Starting my own business allowed me to combine my love for travel with helping others create unforgettable experiences.
What makes your service different from booking online? The biggest difference is the level of personalisation and support. When booking online, you’ re often left to navigate endless options with little guidance. I take the time to understand exactly what my clients want and need, and I tailor everything specifically to them. I’ m also there throughout the entire process, offering support if anything changes or if assistance is needed while they’ re away.
Why is it important to‘ qualify’ your clients before booking? Qualifying clients is a key part of what I do. It allows me to build a full picture of their preferences, expectations, and priorities. For example, two people may be going to the same destination but want completely different experiences. By asking the right questions, I can ensure every detail- from hotel choice to flight times and added extras- is perfectly suited to them.
What are the key benefits of using a travel professional? Using a travel professional brings reassurance, convenience, and expertise. I save clients time by researching and organising everything for them, and I provide trusted recommendations based on knowledge and experience. There’ s also peace of mind knowing someone is there to support you, especially if plans change or unexpected issues arise.

What travel trends are you currently seeing? There’ s a noticeable shift towards more meaningful and personalised travel. People are looking for unique experiences rather than just a standard package holiday. Luxury doesn’ t always mean five-star- it’ s about comfort, convenience, and creating special memories. There’ s also growing interest in cruises and multi-destination trips, where travellers can experience more in one journey.
What’ s one top travel tip you always share? Always check your passport validity before booking. Many destinations require at least six months remaining on your passport, and it’ s something that can easily be overlooked. Sorting it early avoids disappointment and unnecessary stress later on.
Do you have a favourite travel destination? I wouldn’ t say I have just one favourite, as every destination offers something unique. However, I was truly inspired when I visited Thailand. The culture is incredible, the authenticity of the food is something you don’ t fully appreciate until you experience it there, and the scenery is simply stunning. From beautiful beaches to breathtaking sights and experiences, it’ s a destination that really stayed with me and one I often recommend to clients looking for something special.
What do you enjoy most about what you do? For me, it’ s all about the people. I love knowing that I’ ve helped create special memories, whether it’ s a family holiday, a honeymoon, or a once-in-a-lifetime trip. Seeing clients come back happy and hearing about their experiences is incredibly rewarding.
