CHESTER & NORTH WALES SOCIETY OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS
As Mark Twain once said,“ Reports of my death are greatly exaggerated”.
The same can now be said of the Chester & North Wales Society of Chartered Accountants, which held its first Annual Dinner for three years at the Queen at Chester Hotel on 5th March.
This 73rd Annual Dinner reflects the longevity of the Society, which is part of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants( LSCA), the fists such Society in the UK, and forerunner of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Andy Lloyd, Chair, welcomed 240 guests with Dr Simon Dowell, who leads the conservation strategy at Chester regaling everyone with great insights of some remarkable activities at the Zoo. Chris Wainwright, Vice President of the LSCA proved a highly amusing MC, and has clearly found a new vocation.
The Society is currently applying for charitable status, and this Dinner is playing a part in bringing local accountants back together again and helping raise the profile of the good work that the two local Societies are doing.
