At Louise Fudge Colour Specialists, we are proud to be recognised as the best colour salon on the Wirral, and this year is extra special for us as we celebrate 10 years in business. After an incredibly busy Christmas period, January is already shaping up to be our busiest month ever and that’ s no surprise. January has always been the time when clients ditch bad colour jobs and turn to a colour specialist for expert advice, professional results and healthier hair.
We see so many clients in January looking for a fresh approach whether that’ s grey blending, specialist blonding, colour correction, a first-time colour, or a beautiful short, confidence-boosting haircut. One of the things you’ ll notice the moment you walk into our salon is that it doesn’ t smell like a traditional hair salon. There’ s no ammonia in the air and that’ s because of the way we choose to work. We use O & M colour from Australia, a low-chemical colourant that perfectly reflects our ethos. Our colours contain no ammonia, no PPD and no resorcinol, yet still deliver the most beautiful, high-performance results. Healthier hair, healthier scalps and exceptional colour go hand in hand here.
This commitment to excellence and innovation is the reason I’ ve been fortunate enough to be recognised within the industry, including being awarded Colour Technician of the Year in 2017. I’ ve worked closely with major colour houses over the years, always seeking out the very best products on the market and refining how we achieve consistently stunning results for our clients.
Looking ahead to 2026, my top tip is simple but powerful: scalp health. Your scalp is the foundation for strong, healthy hair growth, and this year we’ re encouraging clients to focus on professional scalp services, glossing treatments and long-term hair maintenance. Glossing, conditioning treatments and in-salon care are no longer optional extras, they are essential for keeping colour looking expensive and hair feeling incredible.
While modern blonding should absolutely be low maintenance, maintaining your hair’ s condition shouldn’ t be.
