A GLITTERING NIGHT OF GIVING: THE MANDY MOLBY CHRISTMAS BALL
The festive season truly came alive at the Mandy Molby Christmas Ball, a sparkling evening of celebration, generosity and community spirit held in aid of Wirral University Teaching Hospital.
Friends, supporters and local figures gathered for an unforgettable night that perfectly captured the magic of Christmas, all while raising an extraordinary £ 70,000 for causes close to the hearts of many across the Wirral.
The headline figure of the evening saw an impressive £ 50,000 donated to Wirral University Teaching Hospital, providing vital support for patient care and hospital services. But the generosity didn’ t stop there. True to Mandy Molby’ s passion for helping where it’ s needed most, a further £ 20,000 was shared among a number of smaller local charities and community organisations, ensuring the night’ s impact was felt far beyond the ballroom.
Beneficiaries included Amy and Friends, who received £ 5,000 to continue their invaluable work supporting families, and Heswall Football Club, awarded £ 5,000 towards a new stand for the club. Birkenhead Dog Rescue also benefited from the evening’ s success with a donation of £ 1,500, helping to support the ongoing care and rehoming of vulnerable animals. In addition, Weatherhead School received £ 1,500 to fund musical instruments, giving young people greater access to creative opportunities and enriching school life.
The ball itself was a dazzling affair, filled with festive glamour, heartfelt moments and a shared sense of purpose. From the first toast to the final dance, the room buzzed with warmth and goodwill, reflecting the incredible community that came together to support the cause.
Speaking after the event, Mandy Molby expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended, celebrating not only the funds raised but the collective spirit behind them.“ It’ s about helping as many people— and causes— as we can,” she said.“ The support on the night was overwhelming.” As Christmas balls go, this was one that truly embodied the season of giving— a night of elegance, generosity and meaningful impact that will be felt across the Wirral long after the decorations are packed away.
