BUSY TIMES AT LEAR HOUSE
Residents at Lear House have enjoyed a busy few months with lots of visitors and lots going on!
Ailsa Wright, manager at Abbeyfield said: " Our weekly Knit and Natter sessions with Heather are always popular and we’ ve been knitting items to be included in the Christmas shoe boxes which go overseas with presents for children. We always have a good time nattering too! We also enjoyed a craft session painting with vegetables – we made some beautiful pictures using vegetables like mushrooms, celery and peppers!
" We always look forward to our activity sessions with Carla and with Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement and Memories. They both get us moving and exercising but we have a lot of fun with them too! Jenna’ s last visit to us was themed around the fairground and we played hook a duck with a gold medal for the winner!
" Our Shared Reading afternoons with Anne from The Reader are a lovely opportunity for everyone to get together. We read poetry and talk about the poems and the memories triggered by them."
