BUSY TIMES AT LEAR HOUSE
Residents at Lear House have enjoyed a busy June with lots of visitors and lots going on!
Ailsa Wright, manager at Abbeyfield said: " We have Activity Afternoons with Carla twice a month. Carla always starts the sessions with some seated exercise which involves different type of equipment. After that the fun begins! We play different games which encourage everyone to get moving, work together and laugh a lot!
" There was more fun and laughter when Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music and Memories visited us. We enjoyed a Wild West themed afternoon with cowboy hats and a great range of music. Jenna also likes to get everyone involved and moving!
" Our monthly Shared Reading sessions with Anne from The Reader are always popular. We read poems together and then talk about them. Our discussions always extend beyond the poetry to things the words make us think about and remember. It’ s a great opportunity to spend some time together.
" Finally, visits from Gwyl our therapy dog and his owner Tim are always welcomed by everyone. Gwyl is so patient and calming and their visits are a wonderful time for everyone."
