BRINGING LIFE BACK TO BLOOM AT BALLANTYNE RAISED BEDS
We had a lovely visit today to the Forest School at Ballantyne Raised Beds, where we were greeted by beautifully blooming flower beds— all thriving thanks to the care and dedication of the community. These vibrant displays were brought back to life using Tesco’ s end-of-life plants, which have been lovingly watered, nurtured, and restored by the team. It’ s a shining example of sustainability in action and community spirit at its best. Well done to everyone involved— what a fantastic job!
SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY – ONE BOOK AT A TIME
It was a real pleasure to meet the lovely Siobhan from the Barnstondale Centre, and to support their amazing work with a donation from our book donation stand. A huge thank you to all our wonderful customers and colleagues for your continued support and generosity. Your donated books are making a real difference— and we couldn’ t do it without you! Let’ s keep the momentum going! Please keep those books coming in so we can continue supporting even more great causes across our community. Thank you for being amazing!
COMMEMORATING VJ DAY WITH A VINTAGE TEA DANCE
On 15th August, we were honoured to support the Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral at their Vintage Tea Dance held at Wallasey Town Hall, marking the 80th anniversary of VJ Day. A heartfelt thank you to Ballroom Blitz for bringing along your fabulous dancers— and to the incredible dream team who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the event such a success. It was truly heartwarming to see so many smiling faces across our community, sharing memories and reflecting on the past. A wonderful day filled with joy, nostalgia, and togetherness. Thank you all so much!
