SPRING INTO COLOUR: YOUR SEASONAL HAIR REFRESH AT LOUISE FUDGE
As we step into spring in Chester, there’ s a real sense of awakening. Easter celebrations are behind us, and now we’ re looking ahead to a season full of events— whether it’ s the glamour of the Chester Races, stylish polo afternoons, or a calendar brimming with festivals. Naturally, it’ s time for our hair to reflect that shift in mood and season.

As spring arrives, we naturally want to go lighter. This doesn’ t always mean a full blonde transformation— sometimes it’ s as subtle as softening a brunette or turning a bronzed tone into a brighter, sun-kissed version. Our expert team knows how to create the perfect balance: whether that’ s enhancing your light-reflective tones or gently edging toward a bespoke blonde.
At Louise Fudge, we’ re all about seasonal colour. Just as the world brightens up in spring, so should your hair. We specialise in transforming those smouldering, rich winter tones into lighter, brighter hues using our expert foil techniques and signature freehand couture highlights.
One of the unique things about our approach at Louise Fudge is that we rarely use permanent colour. Instead, we work predominantly with semi-permanent formulas. Why? Because it allows us the flexibility to embrace seasonal change. When we darken for winter, we do so gently and temporarily, making it easy to lift out when spring calls for softness, lightness and that oh-so-desirable glow.
We believe that hair should evolve with the seasons— just like your wardrobe. The UK has four very distinct seasons, and that gives us an opportunity to work creatively with colour, enhancing your look in a way that feels fresh and timely. Our colour of choice, O & M( Original & Mineral), supports this vision perfectly. It’ s a hybrid, ammonia-free colour that’ s not only kind to your hair, scalp and body, but also incredibly versatile. It works beautifully on all hair types, delivering clean, modern results with zero compromise.
And let’ s talk honestly for a moment— box dyes just don’ t cut it. The inky, flat nature of home colouring makes it incredibly difficult to lift out, which is why we advise against it. Hair is multi-tonal and reflective by nature, and our salon techniques honour that. We use placement and tone to build dimension and radiance, not flat, onesize-fits-all colour.
The trend forecast for spring? Bespoke blondes are everything. From creamy pastels to lived-in balayage, every colour we create is individually tailored. Education is at the heart of what we do— our team is deeply trained, continually upskilling and passionate about delivering personalised, high-end colour services.
If you’ re thinking of refreshing your look this season, we’ d love to welcome you in for a consultation. It’ s £ 35 and redeemable against your future colour appointment. This is your chance to talk through your ideas, your hair history, and get excited about what’ s possible for your spring transformation.
At Louise Fudge, we don’ t just follow trends— we set them. Let us help you step into the new season with confidence, colour, and a little bit of magic...
