BUSY TIMES AT LEAR HOUSE
Residents at Lear House in West Kirby have enjoyed a busy March with lots of different activities.
Ailsa Wright, manager at Abbeyfield said: " On Pancake Day everyone had a try at tossing a pancake( all done with a cold pancake and pan) and some were more successful at it than others! We also marked St Patrick’ s Day with music, an Irish themed quiz and of course a drink of Guinness.
We’ ve been busy at our weekly Knit and Natter sessions with Heather making items for the Christmas shoe box appeal. It’ s a great opportunity to get everyone talking and laughing together as well as making a valuable contribution to the stock of Christmas gifts for children overseas.
Everyone always looks forward to our regular visits from the wonderful Gwyl and his owner Tim from Therapy Dogs Nationwide. Gwyl seems to enjoy the visits too and is very good at posing for photographs!
We always have lots of fun at our exercise and activity sessions with Carla. She starts the session with exercise to help keep everyone as strong and as mobile as possible and then we have some fun! Here are the ladies playing croquet and our champion gold medal winner of the afternoon!"
