MEET THE ABUNDANCE COACH- SOPHIE O ' SHEA
What’ s your background? I’ ve always been into Astrology, the stars and anything‘ spiritual’ since I was a child. I took a huge leap from being a secondary school teacher and turned my passions into a new career in 2016, starting out as an energy healer and Yogi. Combining‘ Healing’ and Intuition with my previous skills in teaching naturally led my work into the world of Life Coaching and wellness mentoring, picking up new skills such as Hypnotherapy and Past Life Regression along the way. When I started to take Astrology and Numerology very seriously, bringing it into my professional practice, I could see, in my own blueprint, that Coaching is the most aligned career path I could’ ve chosen and I’ m doing exactly what I’ m supposed to be doing which spurred me on even more!
So far, as a Wellness Coach and Spiritual Mentor, of all the healing modalities I’ ve come across, I’ ve found Astrology to be the most profound tool we can use to assist us. I’ m a believer in‘ practising what you preach’ so learning how to practically and positively apply Astrology to my own everyday life and seeing how Astrology has transformed it for the better was the impetus to share the knowledge with anyone looking to positively impact their own life. Until I find a better modality, if one exists, I’ ll continue to use it as the main tool to assist my clients.
How has Astrology helped you personally? There are too many examples to mention but I’ ll share the main ones so far. Before I studied my natal chart,( the main chart used in Astrology, based on your time, date and location of birth), I knew that I had a challenging life but didn’ t understand why. As an eternal student and seeker of spiritual wisdom and knowledge, when I finally learned that I had three Saturn squares to three of my personal planets which are some of the most challenging aspects there are, I instantly felt an enormous release, I’ d been on a quest, searching to discover this information for years! Now, I finally had answers and not only this, I had a map, telling me exactly what I needed to do in order to positively transform this energy. The greatest part of Astrology in my opinion is that through knowledge and understanding comes the truth that nothing is inherently bad or evil as long as you have the information to work, transform and alchemise any energy or situation into its positive alignment through your own awareness.
The main work I do with my clients is supporting them to understand themselves at a profound and deep level so they can show up, positively impacting the world as their best self, in all areas. I’ ve written several ebooks, the main one being‘ A Presence Protocol’ which serves as a guide in how to use your own awareness to integrate and alchemise anything challenging back to a peaceful state. The challenges are simply there because as I always say‘ the higher the calling, the greater the challenge’, it moulds you into a strong individual, as long as there’ s awareness which is above all the most important thing there is. One of my clients calls Astrology‘ spicey psychology’, which makes me laugh but is very true. Astrology takes your psychology to a far greater level of understanding; one as deep and in collaboration with the cosmos itself.
The North Node position is also one of, if not the most important positions of the chart as it’ s the soul’ s purpose / destiny. At a critical period in my life, I was very unsure about which direction to go in, I followed the instructions of my North Node to the letter and I’ ve never looked back, it transformed my life for the better in every way imaginable and still does to this day, yet it was the opposite direction of the way I wanted to go, which was to continue on in my South Node energies which are where our innate skills, most familiar to us live, there is no evolution if we continue on only in the South Node direction however. The North Node is our greatest challenge, yet if we’ re brave enough to pursue it, it has the potential to make us the most content, happiest and rewarded. Without the astrological information guiding me in this way I believe I may have still been very stuck in life which is why I now
wish to share this information with whoever is looking for it, so that it can assist them in the same way.
Who are your normal clientele and what exactly do you offer them? It’ s a real global mix, I have lived in many corners of the world as a travelling practitioner, including Dubai and Bali for an extended period and have been lucky to connect with clients as I‘ ve travelled. Now rooted in the U. K., as I deliver all of my readings online via Zoom and the client receives the recorded session to rewatch, there’ s no time zone I can’ t serve. The only continent I’ ve not received clients from so far is Antarctica! The beauty of Astrology is that it’ s infinite and ever changing, just as we change with the ever evolving cycles of the cosmos. I therefore suggest the following steps; step one, The‘ Natal Chart Reading’ which is the foundational blueprint and will never change, it’ s invaluable for all of us to know this. Step two, The‘ Progressed Chart Reading’ which is a different chart explaining where you’ ve internally evolved to. It’ s unique and separate to the Natal Chart and should be treated as such but we can layer it on top of the Natal Chart to gather even more information. Then I offer step three,‘ Transit Readings’ where we study the positions of the planet’ s movements from day to day, we layer this on top of the Natal and‘ Progressed Chart’, providing even more information to assist; more info, better decisions made. My clients can therefore end up working with me for years, if they so wish, which is extremely rewarding for me as a coach as I love to build strong, lasting, working relationships over time.
I also offer‘ Synastry Chart Readings’ where you combine your Natal Chart with your partner, family member, work colleague, friend, parent, child or even ancestors who’ ve passed to reveal ancestral patterns and unique astrological codes and configurations of your soul ties, life path trajectory and relationship to one another which is always deeply revealing and profound. We can also follow the step one to three process as mentioned above as the relationship evolves and grows which supports people so much through challenging periods to strengthen and deepen their relationships.
Clients come to me from all walks of life, looking for guidance to do with anything from: clearing trauma, finding their soulmate, making more money or healing from narcissistic abuse and I have coaching containers to support them through anything, using Astrology as the main tool, of course.
What’ s your dream for Astrology and your business? To continue to meet clients from home in the UK to all over the world, building lasting relationships and sharing how Astrology can be used in our day to day lives and as normal as looking at our calendars each and every day. I believe it’ s vital for us all to know when there’ s a new moon, full moon, solstice, equinox, transit and any planetary or celestial movement as there’ s so much evidence that they majorly impact and influence our behaviour. If Astrology becomes as mainstream as talking about where we plan to eat out for dinner next week, then we’ ll all be in a better position with our emotional and spiritual wellbeing, not to mention our relationships. Astrology has helped me to understand and relate so much better to family, friends and humans in general. Before Astrology I may have judged someone as moody, harsh and cold for example, after Astrology I now know and understand that someone with a Capricorn Moon, which is a moon in detriment for example is someone dealing with a great fear of vulnerability masked by being overly practical and the best way to show up for them is to be open about your own vulnerabilities, if there’ s a desire to connect and become closer, rather than going into a stand off about who’ s the most practical which is what could happen as we’ re always mirroring to one another. Therefore I do believe that Astrology in the future will assist us to support, nourish and understand one another so we can live more peaceful and rewarding lives together.
