MEET DR RACHAEL SYVRET OF UNDERLINING BEAUTY
Would you like to introduce yourself to our readers ? Hi everyone , I ’ m Rachael Syvret , founder of Underlining Beauty and UB Academy . I am also still a practicing GP here on the Wirral where I live with my husband Chris and our two amazing girls Autumn who is 5 and Wren who is 2 .
Tell us a little bit about Underlining Beauty and how it all started ? After completing my medical degree at The University of Leeds in 2010 , I decided , in 2012 to venture into the world of aesthetics . I recognised it was a growing trend and it was also something that complemented and aligned itself well with my medical training and my knowledge of anatomy . When I first started Underlining Beauty , I worked single handedly in a clinic room in my home , predominately for my friends and family . Fast forward 12 years and we are now an established brand with an amazing team of doctors , and an advanced nurse practitioner . We run most clinics from our headquarters in Eastham but we also have satellite clinics which operate weekly .
What sets you apart from other aesthetics companies ? At Underlining Beauty , as medical professionals ; ethics is at our heart . We pride ourselves on being that company that will turn you away from having a treatment done if it is not the right thing .
Our results are our biggest marketing tool , and we want our clients to know that they can always trust us to act with honesty and integrity . We are here for the long game , and we want our clients to be too . Our doctors and nurses have years of experience of listening , communicating and formulating management plans for our NHS patients . It is these skills that we transfer into our aesthetic work , meaning that we treat each patient as an individual and not just with a “ cookie cutter ” approach .
This means our patients get a bespoke , personalised treatment plan defined by what they want to achieve not by what we think they should have done . Of course , we are always on hand to provide guidance where needed .
What ' s UB Skin ? Is this something new to Underlining beauty ? Yes ! In more recent years there has been a massive growth in the regenerative side of aesthetics . People are much more aware of the harm that they can cause to their skin which can lead to premature ageing . They are now wanting to take an active role in looking after their skin and implementing measures to prevent the signs of ageing . It was for this reason we decided to launch UB Skin .
Our state of the art skin analysis machine allows us to take a deep dive below the surface of a patients skin . Following the skin analysis and interpretation of the result , we can scientifically tailor the treatments we can offer to patients to help not only roll back the clock but also to slow down that inevitable ageing timeline . We are also lucky enough to have Dr Sophie French as part of the Underlining Beauty team , who is not only a GP but also has further dermatology qualifications , so is able to blend medical knowledge with aesthetics know how to deliver some truly amazing results .
You also have a training academy … can you tell us a little about this ? When I was on maternity leave during the covid lockdown , I decided to put my time to good use and train to become a trainer . Two years ago , we launched the UB Academy , based at our headquarters in Eastham Hall . We provide approved aesthetic training courses to medical professionals . The training courses are all ran face to face by me and include both theoretical and practical experience with real life models injected under close supervision . We also offer bespoke post training packages of support to all of our delegates to help them go on to develop successful aesthetic companies for themselves .
