BALL RAISES FUNDS FOR LOCAL CHILDREN ’ S CHARITIES THIS CHRISTMAS
The WUTH Charity ’ s Children ’ s Fund are delighted to be the main beneficiaries of a truly sparkling Christmas Ball held last month .
The Ball held in aid of Arrowe Park Women and Children ’ s Hospital was masterminded by local fundraiser Mandy Molby and held at Thornton Hall Hotel on Saturday 9 November . Her Winter Ball has become a must-attend event and this year ’ s occasion was no exception . The Ball was attended by three hundred guests and included entertainment from British singer and rapper Simon Webbe ( Blue ). Held in the beautiful surroundings of Thornton Hall the guests and generous donors enjoyed a two-course meal , sharing desserts and wine , an auction of fabulous prizes and what have become known as one of Mandy ’ s amazing and highly sort after goody bags !
This year ’ s ball is expected to raise around £ 40,000 providing much needed funds and profile raising of the Children ’ s Fund at Arrowe Park Hospital and other children ’ s charities in the local community .
Mandy is a long-time supporter of children ’ s health and wellbeing . She is also an ambassador for WUTH Charity with funds from the last four year ’ s support now expected to be close to £ 200,000 . Mandy commented : “ I ’ ve always been passionate about supporting children ’ s services , but when my daughter needed care at Arrowe Park earlier this year , it became even more personal . The staff were incredible , and I knew that every penny we raised was going towards ensuring families like ours receive the best possible care .”
Ngozi Ikoku , newly appointed Fundraising Manager of WUTH Charity said : “ It is a privilege to have Mandy ’ s driving force and passion behind fundraising efforts for our charity . Her contribution is exceptional and helps to make such a substantial difference to our youngest patients and their families .”
The night also raised thousands for other local children ’ s charities and causes .
