LEAR HOUSE RESIDENTS ENJOY VISITS OUT
Residents at Lear House in West Kirby have enjoyed a busy few months getting out and about on day trips .
Ailsa Wright , Manager at Abbeyfield said : " We enjoyed two visits to the Village located at the Age UK premises in Birkenhead . Built in 2023 as part of the Challenge Anneka TV programme the Village is a great place to spend an afternoon .
" Grouped round a village green are various shops , a pub and a cinema . Guests can watch a film in the cinema , play the piano in the pub or browse through all the items in the Post Office .
" There is also a beautiful garden area , seating to enjoy refreshments outside and a cafe . It ’ s a quiet and peaceful location and we loved our afternoons there walking round the Village and enjoying tea and biscuits in the sunshine .
" We also had an afternoon trip to New Brighton . We went to the Panoramic Lounge which is upstairs in the building where we enjoyed tea and cake with spectacular views across the promenade and out across the river ."
