LEAR HOUSE RESIDENT TURNS 102 !
Residents at Lear House have enjoyed a busy few weeks with lots going on including special celebrations for one of their residents marking her 102nd birthday .
Ailsa Wright , manager at Abbeyfield said : " Despite the typical British summer weather we have been able to spend some time in our specially designed sensory garden . The garden is completely enclosed and private and is perfect for spending time enjoying music , ice cream and a quiz .
" We are still knitting items for the Christmas Shoebox Appeal – we make small gifts to be included in the boxes which are sent to lots of different countries overseas . We also recently enjoyed a craft session with Celia taking part in a local project to record what we love about West Kirby and where we live .
" We marked the anniversary of D Day earlier this month with a sing along afternoon with Andrew . Lots of wonderful music to sing and dance along to !
" We love having visitors at Lear House and those with four legs are especially welcome ! We are always delighted to see Gwyll and his owner Tim from Therapy Dogs Nationwide ."
