RESIDENTS AT LEAR HOUSE HAVE ENJOYED A BUSY SUMMER WITH LOTS GOING ON
Wirral Life caught up with Ailsa Wright , manager at Abbeyfield in West Kirby , to find out what their residents had been up to over the last few months .
Ailsa said : " Residents at Lear House have been taking advantage of the sunshine and enjoying time in the garden at the house . Our garden is peaceful and secluded and a wonderful place to spend time together talking , singing and eating ice cream or enjoying a little tipple !
" We also enjoyed a sing along with Rob Steele which included lots of our favourite songs . Singing together is always fun and something we enjoy a lot .
" Our Knit and Natter group is also going well and we now have quite a collection of knitted creatures ! The items we are knitting are to be included in shoe boxes sent as Christmas presents to children . As well as the various animals and insects we have also knitted little hand bags , covers for dolls ’ prams and now we are working on small bags which will have marbles in them . Of course we always enjoy a good natter at the same time !"
