What are your standout moments from the challenge ? My standout memory was singing My Bonny Lies over the Ocean with John . When I met him he couldn ’ t really speak . And then I started singing with him . He was word perfect .
What was the low point of the challenge ? The low point was knowing we weren ’ t going to finish on time . I felt we were letting Age UK down by leaving the project with so much more to do . But in time-honoured fashion , the project carried on past the deadline - for weeks in this case - and I am thrilled it is now up and running .
How did you feel when you saw we had named it the Anneka Village ? I was incredibly moved to find that you had named it Anneka Village . I wasn ’ t expecting that . I so look forward to visiting again soon .
We know you spent some time with the lovely Ronnie , a client at the centre , sadly he passed away shortly after filming , he was very taken with you , how did you feel when you heard the news ? I was so upset to hear about Ronnie . He had been such a life force during filming . I am glad that he is such a central part of the programme , and his family will always have that memory .
And finally on a personal note , we all noticed you looked just as good as you did 30 years ago , tell us what ' s your secret ! Gin ! Obviously .
