RESIDENTS AT LEAR HOUSE IN WEST KIRBY HAVE A FUN , BUSY MONTH
Wirral Life caught up with Ailsa Wright , manager at Abbeyfield in West Kirby , to find out what their residents had been up to over the last few months .
Ailsa said : " We have started a new Shared Reading Group through The Reader organisation . During the session Anne from The Reader reads a poem or short story and then we talk about how it makes us feel and what it makes us remember . It ’ s a great opportunity to get everyone talking and reminiscing .
" We also enjoyed another silk flower workshop with Liz from Flowers by Elizabeth . This time we made spring bouquets and after a demonstration everyone was given a beautiful selection of silk flowers and foliage to make their own arrangement . The results were amazing and everyone really enjoyed the afternoon .
" Our regular music performances , quizzes , craft activities , French lessons and other activities have continued throughout the month . Now that the weather is turning warmer , we are looking forward to being outside a lot more and enjoying our beautiful sensory garden ."
