LIBRARY OXTON : CHEESE & WINE NIGHTS
The Library held its first Wine and Cheese Pairing “ Adventure ” on 1 March – the first of many we hope .
The aim of the night was for our guests to simply have a great evening in good company , exploring some of the amazing cheeses to be found in France , Spain and Italy – paired with wines that really help bring out the flavours and texture of the cheese .
Our hope was to introduce our guests to a pairing they may not have tried before and to inspire them to try pairing for themselves at home .
The favourite of the evening was probably the delicious “ Delice do Bourgogne ” from the Burgundy region of France paired with a glass of sparkling Bouvet or the Blue Pecorino matched with Provence Rose . Or was it the Parmigiana Reggiano with Primitivo . It ’ s a close call !
Our next adventure will take us to the fine wines of the New World of South Africa , Australia and New Zealand . Like everything at The Library , our approach is unfussy and relaxed – so if you fancy joining us on our next adventure on Thursday 18th May please get in touch as soon as you can as we were sold out last time .
