As a professional with two decades of frontline experience , I try to keep my two feet as close to the ground as possible , and I say this as an avid Harry Potter fan with an abiding interest in Quidditch !
" Potter fantasies aside , however , keeping a clear and level head is important when so much of what I face on a daily basis , apart from the merely curious , is real people with real problems and no immediate solutions to their worries .
" Very often , these people have arrived by way of recommendation , and word of mouth is indeed a powerful driver . What they are seeking is someone to engage fully and frankly with their concerns , and to offer up advice based on their particular set of circumstances . They may already have the answers within them , but they need to have their thoughts confirmed .
" Their time with me is specifically about them , and they deserve to know precisely what I ’ m feeling with the Tarot cards – and I favour the Swiss deck – used as a decision-making tool . For me , the cards are essentially about this , a way of making decisions – let ’ s put fortune telling to one side .
" The greatest satisfaction for me is when someone I ’ ve spent time with gets back in touch to tell me that the things I predicted for them , the positive things , have come to pass . It may not have happened

" If you are fortunate enough , as I am , to operate as part of a multifaceted team offering a wide range of support including Reiki , lifecoaching , tapping therapy , EFT therapy , hypnotherapy , acupuncture & counselling , it can only serve to address problems more quickly and hopefully come up with a solution that makes sense .
" Given the work that I do and the circles in which I mix , it ’ s impossible not to be reminded on a daily , or more accurately hourly basis just how many people are struggling to cope these days . In fact , any days . The issue in question may be financial , social or emotional , or maybe a combination of all three , but whatever the source of the problem , it can look like a very large mountain to climb . " This is why , as much as possible , I am keen to both support and instigate practical help within the community , especially at those times of year when money is tightest and mental health issues most rampant . They say that charity begins a home , but that ’ s not much use if you don ’ t have a home .
" Occasionally , I ’ m asked if the skills I possess are a gift , to which my answer is that it ’ s an ‘ ability ’ – the ability to trust intuition and to connect with the world around in a way that is both timeless and timely .
