TAVERNERS LUNCH
Lady Taverners held their Christmas shopping and lunch at Chester Racecourse to help raise over £ 20,000 for the charity .
Karen Metcalf , Chair of Northwest , Cheshire and Wirral said " I was so delighted to fill the County Stand at Chester Racecourse for our Christmas shopping and lunch . We had over 250 guests who were entertained by the singing waiters . Everyone danced and enjoyed each others company whilst being incredibly generous . A huge thanks to everyone who supported us .
" Every table received a wonderful raffle prize and the auction had money can ' t buy experiences such as Lunch with Sir Ian Botham at The Hard Rock Café , London which was kindly bought by Vonnie Fleet and the Sir Andrew Strauss Masterclass for 6 on the hallowed turf of Lords including full days match and hospitality , kindly bought by Steven Ogilby .
" A wonderful two course lunch followed a fizz reception kindly sponsored by Grosvenor Insurance Brokers Chester . The evening entertainment was kindly sponsored by Karen Farrell , MD of Crime Prevention Services Ltd .
" A big thanks to Mark Wright for providing football memorabilia . Thanks too to Beaverbrooks and Clogau for the wonderful jewellery that was donated and everyone who provided prizes , joined us on the day and bought raffle tickets and auction prizes ."
