Age UK Wirral were delighted to host a sumptuous Ladies Christmas Lunch at Elixir in Oxton Village .
Wirral ’ s most glamorous ladies enjoyed a Champagne cocktail followed by an 8-course menu , artisan breads , butter poached prawns , venison herb ragu and a trio of tasty desserts were just some of the treats Elixir provided .
Live music and Christmas decorations made it the perfect start to the party season . The lunch was a complete sell out and raised over £ 1400 towards their Dementia Appeal . Lynne Hamilton ; Fundraising Manager at Age UK Wirral said : " Money raised will go towards buying a Dementia Pod that recreates a train carriage and train journey for clients and their families to enjoy , taking someone with Dementia out on a trip can sometimes be challenging , so this is just perfect .
