Liverpool has the oldest Chinatown in
Europe so Chamber 36 located on Berry
Street was the perfect venue for the launch
of Middle Kingdom Gin which celebrates
the long standing relationship between
the city and China which dates back to the
1850’s.
The Ginsmiths of Liverpool are producing
the gin and John O’Dowd, known locally
as the Godfather of Gin suggested that the
guests savour the botanicals by trying the gin
neat before adding any garnish or mixer.
A fabulous evening was enjoyed by all
and the gin enthusiasts in the restaurant
unanimously endorsed the new brand as
excellent.
