There’s no point in dragging it out. Are classic cars are better than a modern cars? You could look at it from the young perspective, that mechanical is not better than digital modern cars. The modern digital car is objectively, categorically and considerably better than mechanical. The technological advances through years of development has made driving experiences a lot easier and by far, much faster ways of travelling with improved safety. Here at Cars and Coffee Liverpool, the young are educated by both comparing and sharing experience with great conversation. If Ferruccio Lamborghini was here this month, he would be proud of the sight of the car park, glistening with an array of bright Italian colour Lamborghini supercars. Never have we seen so many Lamborghini Huracan Performante, £238,000 supercars. If you think the standard Lamborghini Huracán is the talk of town, what other ways can they improve the Huracan Performante? The bull’s beating heart is the same 5.2-liter V10 as the standard Huracán, with output increased by 28 horsepower and 29 pound-feet of torque for new ratings of 630 and 442, respectively. With no forced induction assistance, the free- breathing V10 delivers predictable, linear acceleration - an unrelenting avalanche of thrust with a purely Italian soundtrack that resonates off the hills and makes you grin with every hard stomp of the throttle. Sixty miles per hour? You’ll be there in less than three seconds. Top end? Try 202 mph. It’s a car that sounds and feels utterly visceral in its ferocity, wrapped in out-of-this-world shapes with deeper spoilers worthy of its spotlight placement in posters on young car fans bedroom walls. Or, I suppose, the backgrounds of their iPhones. Thanks to David Gidman from HR Owen, eight Lamborghini's turned up fashionably late, just like a teenage boy band making a grand entrance. Still, the distinguished gentlemen in the proud classic cars were not fazed nor distracted by the commotion. No politics at all here, in fact the classic Ford boys out number the Supercar boys and keep their heads down to earth. Again you ask? Yes, the ever so supportive Liverpool Lord Mayor Christine Banks came again - I'm sure it's our Cafe Origin Coffee with Chung Ku’s famous steamed honey roasted Char Sui pork buns and of course the usual chilled out family atmosphere Sunday hangout. Our members never cease to amaze us with the extraordinary vehicles that come out of their garages. Remember previous article issue 25, when Tom Owen bought his 1926 AC Royal? Well this month one member dressed in period fighter pilot uniform, topped the vintage scale with his patina racing green 1920s pre war Citreon Le Mans ex racecar. Something you would find as a collector of Dinky toy race car 23 series. A big thanks to all our motoring members, amazing friends and supporters, our newest member Star Wars Storm Trooper - Delroy Williams. A big up to Michelle O’Dwyer & friends, the Cars and Coffee Liverpool team - Terry Alan Barnett, John Kane, Tom Owen, Matthew Eaton, Anthony Weaver, Gareth Roberts, Luke Jordan, Jimmy Rutledge, Charalene Lee and her Coffee family and CCL friends! A huge thanks to our local Liverpool Lord Mayor Christine Banks for supporting us again and staying until the very end. Sponsored by Cafe Origin Coffee, David Gidman at HR Owen as usual, Autorenew, OCD Porsche Specialist, WSR Recycling, Tom Tully Tyres, Impact Solutions, Philangle Stamps, Wirral Life Magazine, photographers Mike McTigue, Gren Atherton, Brian Lloyd and Paul Rankin. See you all again on Sunday 23rd December Christmas Jumper and Santa hat theme! Same time, same place for a Coffee Origin and a Char Sui Bun and the ALL NEW steamed Hot Dog bun! The chosen charity is the Food Bank, please bring some tins, packet food as a donation please!
